CSUDH is accredited by the Accrediting Commission for Senior Colleges and Universities of the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC), and a number of its academic programs are accredited by other agencies in the specialized fields. CSUDH’s scenic campus includes many amenities for students, staff and faculty, and the community at large. These include our award-winning Loker Student Union, our beautiful newly expanded University Library, and the 250-seat Claudia Hampton Lecture Hall, and the James L. Welch Hall featuring mediated-instruction classrooms and computer-based laboratories. Students also enjoy the campus’s many open green spaces, perfect for enjoying Southern California year-round sunshine.


CSUDH serves as a vital educational, economic, cultural and recreational resource for the South Bay area of Los Angeles.
