Administration and Finance COVID -19 Updates

Updated March 25, 2020

With state and county governments mandating social distancing in response to the COVID-19 outbreak, CSUDH has shifted operations to comply with these restrictions. On Monday, March 16th, most CSUDH employees began working remotely. Per the President’s March 17, 2020 memorandum, employees will continue to work remotely through the remainder of the semester, unless they have been identified by their supervisor as an essential employee in a position critical to university operations, which requires them to be on campus.

Setting up a home workstation - As most faculty and staff have transitioned to working at home it is important to think about your workstation that you will be temporarily working from. Consider how your computer/laptop, chair and workspace is set up to keep you in neutral postures. Please take about 20 minutes to take “computer ergonomics” on CSU Learn, then review the workstation checklist at the end of the training to help you evaluate your workstation. This link will also provide a visual on how your workstation should look.

For additional information you can also visit the CSUDH Environmental, Health & Safety page at https://www.csudh.edu/ehs/resources/ergonomics. Specifically referring to “Ergonomic Self-assessment and good practices” and “Twelve tips for an ergonomic computer workstation”.
