Danny GrissettDanny Grissett started playing piano at the age of five, and began studying classically when he turned six. A love for jazz developed as his classical training continued in high school and while a student at CSUDH.

He went on to graduate school at Cal Arts, earning his MFA in jazz performance. He completed his studies at the prestigious Thelonious Monk Institute, studying with jazz masters such as Barry Harris, Herbie Hancock, Terence Blanchard, Kenny Barron, Bobby Watson, Jimmy Heath, and Carl Allen.

After moving to New York, Grissett quickly became a side man of choice for many esteemed artists such as Vincent Herring and Vanessa Rubin. He has been a member of Tom Harrell’s Quartet for the last 10 years, appearing on five of the last eight releases from the great trumpeter. Danny made his debut as a leader with his first trio recording Promise on the Criss Cross Jazz label. His 2015 release, "The In-Between" on Criss Cross Records, is his fifth as a leader.
