Gene Hale

Gene Hale is CEO of G&C Equipment Corporation, which sells and leases construction equipment, material, and supplies. He was appointed by President Barack Obama to the President’s Export Council, and was also appointed by President George W. Bush to the President’s Board of Advisors on Historical Black Colleges.

More recently, Governor Jerry Brown appointed Hale to the Governors International Trade and Investment Advisory Board, while Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti recently asked him to serve as the president of the Mayor’s Export Council. Los Angeles County Supervisor Mark Ridley-Thomas also appointed Hale to the Los Angeles County Small Business Commission.

Hale serves on many boards, including the Southern California Leadership Council. He is the Chairman of The Greater Los Angeles African American Chamber of Commerce and Chairman of the Gardena Police Foundation.  Throughout his career, he has served as chairman of the following associations: CALTRANS Small Business Advisory Board, the Black Business Association of Los Angeles, and the Congressional Task Force on Small Business Development.
