Victor Hugo Rodriguez joined NBC-Telemundo as a Consumer Investigative Reporter in April 2016, where he is responsible for investigating concerns from local viewers. Prior to joining NBC-Telemundo, Rodriguez worked as a State Farm® Public Affairs Specialist for Arizona, Nevada, and New Mexico, where he coordinated, developed, and assisted with projects and initiatives. Earlier in his career, he worked as a reporter for KVEA Telemundo 52 in Los Angeles, spent 9 years as a reporter and anchor for KTVW-33, the Univision O&O in Phoenix, and was a correspondent for Univision network.

As a journalist, Rodriguez has reported on U.S. Presidential visits to Arizona, interviewed presidential candidates, and covered the 2011 Tucson shooting, where U.S. Representative Gabrielle Giffords and 18 others were shot during a constituent meeting.
 
In Rodriguez’s spare time, he mentors students from the ASU Walter Cronkite School of Journalism through the ALMA programs and The National Association of Hispanic Journalists. He also advocates for LGBT rights and was a member of the one•n•ten organization in Phoenix, Arizona.
