Denisse Montalvan is a media relations expert who supports her teams by creating emotional connections to brands through culturally impactful campaigns. She has planned and executed campaigns on both general market and Hispanic brand accounts. Through these efforts, Montalvan’s teams have developed award-winning strategic communications programs and message platforms that bridge language and lifestyle nuances to speak to the unique needs and wants of today’s Latino consumers. She has provided Hispanic expertise and counsel to clients including Kikkoman, National Cattlemen’s Beef Association, California Milk Advisory Board, Clorox, Best Buy/Geek Squad, IKEA, KinderCare, Mattel, Kellogg’s and, most recently, led national PR efforts for Sprint and Boost Mobile.
 
Montalvan is actively involved with professional organizations such as HPRA, PRSA-LA, ColorComm, and NAHJ, where she builds and leverages her relationships with media, bloggers, and influencers to create new opportunities for clients. She is currently ColorComm's Executive Director for the Los Angeles Chapter and has also served as a speaker at national conferences such as Hispanicize and LATISM as well as Digital-LA. Her awards and recognition include being named Young Professional of the Year by HPRA, Revolucionaria Award nominee by SxSW, and recipient of the Bloganthropy Award for her work through her charity, The Orphaned Earring.
