A Community of Scholars

A temporary display presented some distinguishing characteristics of CSU Dominguez Hills. We began with our students, and the robust supports provided from the moment they enroll. These have a visible impact not only on graduation rates but on learning, driven by a powerful collaboration between academic and student affairs.
Another group of posters demonstrates the learning itself, with a collection of authentic, original scholarship from Student Research Day, held this semester. A third set, from Service Learning, Internships, and Community Engagement (“SLICE”), shows how such personal transformation strengthens our neighborhoods and the region – work recognized on the President’s Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll.
Throughout the display are glimpses of individual alumni, going on to significant accomplishments for their families, their professions, and their communities. In many ways they remain the most important marker of our educational effectiveness, embodying the quality and high impact of the education we provide.
