CBAPP Scholarship Information

About

The College of Business Administration and Public Policy awarded approximately $33,500 to CBAPP students for the 2017-2018 academic year. CBAPP scholarship applications are usually made available in the spring semester for the next academic year. For example, applications will open March 2018 for students to be selected and awarded for the 2018-2019 academic year. These scholarships are only available to students with declared majors offered by the College of Business Administration and Public Policy.

2018-2019 Important Deadlines

03/22/18: Deadline for students to request to join CBAPP on Toro Link.

03/06/18: Scholarship Applications Open

04/03/18: Scholarship Applications Close

06/01/18: Students will be notified via email if they were selected for a scholarship.



Using Toro Link

Scholarship applications are available to students in Toro Link. To access the scholarship applications, students must request membership to join CBAPP on Toro Link.

APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS:

Students must access Toro Link using their CSUDH username and password, then request to join the College of Business Administration and Public Policy organization page. The applications are located under the Forms tab and students can view and submit the scholarship applications through Toro Link. All applications and documents must be uploaded to Toro Link. Emailed or post marked applications will not be accepted.

  • Please review the scholarships and eligibility requirements listed below.
  • You may apply to multiple scholarships as long as you meet the eligibility requirements.
  • The same personal statement may be used, if applicable. The personal statement is usually one to two pages, double-spaced, and can describe your need for financial assistance, your academic and extracurricular activities, leadership roles, volunteer work, etc. 
  • CSUDH unofficial transcripts must be uploaded to the applications (even if this is your first semester).
  • One submission per scholarship is allowed. Use caution when attaching documents. Once your application is accepted in Toro Link you will not be able to make any changes.

The CBAPP scholarships available for the 2018-2019 academic year are noted below.

Bill Rogers

$500

•be a CSUDH student in good academic standing
•live in one of the following zip codes: 90001, 90002, 90003, 90059, 90061, 90220, 90221, or 90222
•have a declared major within CSUDH’s CBAPP
•must be a continuing student in the 2017-2018 academic year

CBAPP Advisory Board Scholarship

$1,000

•be a current CSUDH Business Administration student a concentration in Management
•be a junior or senior
•possess an upper-division major GPA of 3.0 or better in courses completed at CSUDH
•be enrolled in at least 12 units during the semester for which student applies for the scholarship
•must be a continuing student in the 2017-2018 academic year

Chiou-Hsiung "Bear" Chang

•be a CSUDH student in good academic standing
•have a declared major within CSUDH’s CBAPP
•must be a continuing student in the 2017-2018 academic year

Donald Jones Endowed Memorial

$500

•be a U.S. citizen
•be a Criminal Justice Administration major at CSUDH
•have expressed a strong desire to pursue a professional career in a law enforcement field
•maintain a minimum 2.0 GPA overall
•have a minimum 2.3 GPA in Criminal Justice Administration coursework
•demonstrate a need for financial assistance
•use the award to pay for tuition, books, and/or student housing
•must be a continuing student in the 2017-2018 academic year

Gil & Shirley Smith

•be a continuing undergraduate CSUDH CBAPP student with at least one semester of coursework remaining
•possess a minimum 3.0 GPA, either major or overall

•be enrolled in classes at CSUDH during the semester for which he/she applies for the scholarship

Krushkhov Memorial

•be an undergraduate or graduate student with a declared major in Public Administration
•possess an interest and have completed studies in urban and/or municipal issues

Pi Alpha Alpha

•have a declared major in Public Administration
•be at least a half-time student
•have completed a minimum of 12 units at CSUDH
•have an overall GPA of 3.0
•have at least one semester of courses remaining
•winner must attend the Pi Alpha Alpha Honors Reception held in May (5/03/18, 5pm-8pm)
•you do not need to be a Pi Alpha Alpha member to apply

Leonard Moite Memorial

•be an undergraduate junior or senior CSUDH CBAPP student with a declared concentration in Finance
•be enrolled in at last two Finance or two Economics classes during the semester for which student applices for the scholarship
•possess a minimum 3.0 GPA, either major or overall
•plan on continuing his/her education and attaining a Master’s, Doctorate or Professional Degree
•be in good academic standing with the university
•must be a continuing student in the 2017-2018 academic year

PwC Scholarship

• have a declared major in Business Administration-Accounting
• must be a sophomore or junior in the 2018-2019 academic year
•be a member of the CSUDH Accounting Society and describe your participation in your personal statement
• have a 3.4 minimum GPA
• be enrolled in CSUDH courses during the fall 2018 and spring 2019 semesters

Roger W. Berry Ph.D. Endowed

•be a full-time student
•possess a minimum 3.0 GPA, either major or overall
•must be a continuing student in the 2017-2018 academic year
