CBAPP Scholarship Information

About

The College of Business Administration and Public Policy awarded approximately $33,500 to CBAPP students for the 2017-2018 academic year. CBAPP scholarship applications are usually made available in the spring semester for the next academic year. For example, applications will open spring 2018 for students to be selected and awarded for the 2018-2019 academic year. These scholarships are only available to students with declared majors offered by the College of Business Administration and Public Policy.

Using Toro Link

Last cycle, scholarship applications were made available to students in Toro Link. A new scholarship software is being administered on campus and may be utilized for the next cycle. In the event Toro Link will be used this semester, please request membership to join out organization's page on Toro Link!

TO APPLY THROUGH TORO LINK:

Students should access Toro Link using their CSUDH username and password, and join the College of Business Administration and Public Policy organization page. The applications are located under the Forms tab and students can view and submit the scholarship applications through Toro Link. All applications and documents must be uploaded to Toro Link. Emailed or post marked applications will not be accepted.

  • Please review the scholarships and eligibility requirements listed below.
  • You may apply to multiple scholarships as long as you meet the eligibility requirements.
  • The same personal statement may be used, if applicable. The personal statement is usually one to two pages, double-spaced, and can describe your need for financial assistance, your academic or extracurricular activities, leadership roles, volunteer work, etc. 
  • CSUDH unofficial transcripts must be uploaded to the applications (even if this is your first semester).
  • One submission per scholarship is allowed. Use caution when attaching documents. Once your application is accepted in Toro Link you will not be able to make any changes.

CBAPP Scholarships normally offered each academic year are noted below. The College is grateful for the many scholarships which are made possible by donors. Bill Rogers

$500

•be a CSUDH student in good academic standing
•live in one of the following zip codes: 90001, 90002, 90003, 90059, 90061, 90220, 90221, or 90222
•have a declared major within CSUDH’s CBAPP
•must be a continuing student in the 2017-2018 academic year

•be a Criminal Justice Administration major at CSUDH
•have expressed a strong desire to pursue a professional career in a law enforcement field
•maintain a minimum 2.0 GPA overall
•have a minimum 2.3 GPA in Criminal Justice Administration coursework
•demonstrate a need for financial assistance
•use the award to pay for tuition, books, and/or student housing
•must be a continuing student in the 2017-2018 academic year

Leonard Moite Memorial

•be an undergraduate junior or senior CSUDH CBAPP student with a declared concentration in Finance
•be enrolled in at last two Finance or two Economics classes during the semester for which student applices for the scholarship
•possess a minimum 3.0 GPA, either major or overall
•plan on continuing his/her education and attaining a Master’s, Doctorate or Professional Degree
•be in good academic standing with the university
•must be a continuing student in the 2017-2018 academic year

Nitori (10 available)

$2,500

•have a declared major in CSUDH’s CBAPP
•must be a current student
•must be a junior or senior
•must have a minimum 3.2 GPA
•must be US citizen, Resident of U.S. or U.S. national
Students are encouraged to write an essay describing their leadership skills and submit letters of recommendation
