The Program

School Health and Wellness Education California State University, Dominguez Hills offers the School Health and Wellness Education online course series. Whether you complete one or all five courses, each is a relevant, realistic, and reasonable approach for schools to become and remain safe and healthy places to work and learn.

Each course:

  • Meets The Student Support and Academic Enrichment (SSAE) grants under Title IV-A of the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) and HHFKA-School Wellness Policies;
  • Provides 10 CSUDH CEUs (20 task hours/wk. for 5 weeks);
  • Provides 20 CEUs for CHES/MCHES renewal;
  • Is cost-effective PD ($475);
  • Includes free templates, tools, and parent education materials;
  • Is five weeks in length;
  • Relies on empirical research, WSCC tenets; and the NHES and;
  • Supports local school plans.

Schools registering 5 or more staff may request a unique class start date outside the schedule course offerings!

Due to the rigor of the coursework, a Bachelor’s degree is required to take these courses. Experience in public education, public health, or a similar profession is recommended.
