When are the courses? What does the program cost?

Courses are scheduled for the benefit of working adults, and are held evenings and weekends. Courses are offered 3 times a year. Fees for each course are contained in the schedule (see above).

How do I register? Is there an application process?

There is no application process for the program. To register visit our Registration Services info, or call 310-243-3741.

Where and when are the classes held?

Classes are held on the campus at CSUDH, in the Extended Education building; the classes are typically scheduled for weekends (Friday evenings and Saturday days) for the convenience of working professionals.

Do you offer financial aid?

Financial aid is not available for non-credit programs.  However, student loans are available through Sallie Mae at https://www.salliemae.com/student-loans/career-training-smart-option-student-loan.

Out of work and need training? This program is approved for funding through the Workforce Investment and Opportunity Act. Visit the America's Job Center website for more information.

How long does it take to complete the certificate?

The certificate can be completed in one semester.  However, you may take as long as you wish.

Do I have to purchase a computer or software?

Courses are offered in our Extended Education computer lab, which currently has 18 stations with the most up-to-date software. You are not required to purchase your own computer or software; however, you are welcome (and encouraged) to bring your own laptops/devices with you to class.

An Adobe Creative Cloud subscription is not required, but helpful during the second segment of the certificate; student discounted access/information is available.

Do I have to be a CSUDH student to take courses?

Web Design Certificate courses are open to anyone age 13 and up (minors require parent/guardian permission) who meet the course pre-requisites. We also offer a Tech Camps for Youth Program several times a year.
