Alumni Programs

The Office of Alumni Relations seeks to advance the university, to promote common interests of its students and its alumni; and to serve as liaison to the university, alumni, and the community.

Services For Alumni

Your connection to CSUDH doesn't have to stop after graduation. The Office of Alumni Relations works to ensure that when students make the transition to alumni, they continue to feel connected to the Toro Family.

Through a free membership to the Alumni Association, alumni receive invitations throughout the year to special events both on and off campus, a wide variety of benefits and discounts, volunteer and service opportunities, and updates on their fellow alumni. Engagement in the Alumni Association fosters a strong sense of pride in being a Toro, and helps build a solid Toro network in the community, all of which plays a vital role in strengthening the institution’s position as the premier public institute of higher education in the South Bay.

As part of the CSUDH alumni community of over 110,000, graduates are eligible for local discounts, career services, a lifetime toromail email address, and access to other resources through the CSUDH Alumni Association. All members receive a membership card, which gives you access to these benefits and helps to showcase your Toro Pride.

The benefits of being an Alumni Association member include:

  • Continued access to your Toromail account
  • 30% discount on private events in the Loker Student Union
  • Discounted tickets to CSUDH Theatre and Dance productions
  • 10% discount at the University Bookstore (excludes text books)
  • Invitations to alumni events and mixers
  • Access to all 23 CSU campus libraries (restrictions may apply for certain resources)
  • Access to the CSUDH Career Center – view job postings, attend job and grad fairs, and one free consultation with a career counselor
  • Discounts to selected Dignity Health Sports Park events
  • Free admission to all CSUDH sporting events
  • Discounts on insurance through participating companies

Alumni participation in the University can go beyond the Alumni Association, with selected members having an active role through the Alumni Advisory Council, which works with the University President and his designees on issues of interest to the University such as advocacy, alumni giving, and programming. The council serves as the voice of alumni to the University and helps build alumni involvement. The council's commitment to the University is demonstrated through their philanthropy, their volunteerism, and mentorship to future alumni.

Alumni Association membership is not automatic. To request a membership, graduates must have a conferred undergraduate, graduate degree or credential. To sign up for the Alumni Association visit: or call the Office of Alumni Relations at (310) 243-2237 or
