The University Bookstore

University Bookstore partners with your faculty to make affordable the required course materials you need for class. We offer books in several options from the traditional new and used to rental (Renting can have a savings up to 80% compared to new price) and digital books (with a savings of up to 60% or more). The bookstore is a full-service campus store that carries everything from School Supplies, Food & Snacks, Health & Beauty, Study Aids and a wide variety of Toro Gifts & Gear! We are your one stop shop for all things Toros!

Buyback of Textbooks

Sell your used books every day! The best time is during the week of finals! Get the most cash when you sell a book that will be used again in the next semester. All titles are subject to condition and national demand. 

Price Match Promise

Prices are matched against Amazon Prime or Barnes & Noble.  Excludes peer-to-peer marketplaces, Amazon's Warehouse Deals, Deals of the Day, Lightning Deals, and “Amazon Deals," aggregator sites, digital books and publisher-direct prices.

Price adjustments are provided at time of purchase to customers with a printed screenshot or ad shown via mobile device of a competitively priced textbook, or within 7 days of the original transaction with original receipt.

A maximum of $100 per item and $1,000 per customer. The book must be in stock with us and with the retailer advertising the lower price.  If the book is rented, the rental period must be the same as the bookstores, in-store only.  Purchase and price adjustments differences will be provided on a store gift card.  No price matches on bulk purchases. Price Match not available on the bookstore website at this time. Order Your Course Materials, Toro Merchandise and everything else Online

Course materials, Toro merchandise and an endless aisle of merchandise are available to purchase online for pick-up or delivery! Please visit us at CSUDH Bookstore. Textbooks can also be ordered directly from your personal Blackboard account under "MyBB" Follett Discover.

Gift Cards

Gift cards are available at the bookstore in any denomination and can be purchased at customer service or online for your convenience.

Keep Your Receipt

You must present your receipt for any exchange or refund. Do not write in or soil your book if you plan to exchange it. We reserve the right to pass judgment on the condition of returned items. Defective new books will be replaced at once.

Textbook Returns

A full refund will be given on textbooks for a one-week period beginning the first day of the term. All returns or exchanges require a receipt. Textbooks for courses dropped in the add/drop period may be returned by the add/drop date with a drop slip and receipt. Textbooks purchased after the first week of classes are returnable within 48 hours of purchase.  See website for full refund policy at CSUDH Bookstore.

Personal Checks & Payment Options

Personal checks are accepted with proper identification and your name and address printed on the check. We also accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover, Paypal, Apple-Pay, Samsung Pay and Google Pay.

School of Nursing Textbooks

Textbooks and course materials are available and may be ordered through the University Bookstore via online at CSUDH Bookstore or from your personal Blackboard account under "MyBB" Follett Discover.

Immediate Access

WHAT IS IT?

Students gain access to their course materials in digital format on the first day of class and will retain access at no cost until the add/drop deadline.

Students have the option to opt-out electronically on or prior to the add/drop deadline. Students who opt to continue will be charged for the digital materials.

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS?

Immediate access to materials; delayed payment or option to discontinue and no payment; typical discounts of 10% to 20% over regular digital access and 25% to 60% discount over printed rental or purchase of hard copies, and option for print-outs for the materials at nominal costs.

Course materials are available to students two weeks before the semester starts.
