new student orientation (nso)

New Student Orientation (NSO) programs are offered during the summer to incoming freshman, transfer, international, and returning students. Students admitted to the University will attend a NSO program where they will learn how to register for courses, receive a campus tour, discover the various opportunities student life has to offer, and learn about resources that will help them towards graduation. Students must be admitted to the University and submit their intent to enroll prior to registering for New Student Orientation. New Student Orientation is a mandatory enrollment requirement for all incoming students. Admitted students who do not attend NSO are not eligible to enroll for the term in which they applied. For more information, visit the Orientation website at or call (310) 243-2113.

International Student Orientation Programs

All newly admitted international students must attend an International Student Orientation Program. Students planning to attend the University, should expect to receive an invitation to attend the International Orientation program.  Contact International Student Services at (310) 243-3786 for more information about International Student Orientation.
