new student orientation (nso)

New Student Orientation (NSO) programs are offered during the summer to incoming first year, transfer, international, and returning students. In response to the COVID-19 public health emergency, all New Student Orientation programs have transitioned to an online program. During NSO, students will engage with faculty, receive academic advising, register for courses, and meet other students. There will be opportunities to learn about resources and support on campus that will help students succeed and get to graduation. To register for NSO, students must be admitted to the University and submit their intent to enroll.  New Student Orientation is a mandatory enrollment requirement for all incoming and returning students; failure to attend NSO will result in being ineligible to enroll for the term in which they applied. For more information, visit the Orientation website at https// or call (310) 243-2113.

International Student Orientation Programs

All newly admitted international students must attend an International Student Orientation Program. Students planning to attend the University, should expect to register for the International Orientation program.  Contact International Student Services at (310) 243-3786 for more information about International Student Orientation.
