First-Time Freshmen Applicants

 October 1

October 1st is the first day to apply to CSU Dominguez Hills for Fall 2020. Apply at Cal State Apply.

Apply for Financial Aid: You can apply for Financial Aid on October 1st by filing a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Apply by March 2 for priority processing.

 November 30

Priority Application Date: The priority application period is October 1 to November 30.

 

 February 15

Missing Application Documents Deadline: Any missing application documents must be received by the Admissions Office no later than February 15 in order to complete your application. Check your Campus Account at My.CSUDH.edu for the latest information on what documents you are still missing. 

NOTE: Electronic transcripts are preferred.

 March 2

Priority Financial Aid Application Deadline: Apply for Financial Aid by March 2nd for priority processing. To apply, file a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

  May 1

Intent to Enroll and New Student Orientation Deadline: For a Step by Step Guide to submitting your Intent to Enroll Deposit & Register for New Student Orientation* please click here.

To qualify for the intent to enroll deposit waiver, you must have filed a 2020-2021 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or California Dream Act application by March 2, 2020 with CSUDH school code 001141, and received a Student Aid Report (SAR) with an Expected Family Contribution (EFC) of $0.

Students who filed a FAFSA or California Dream Act application after March 2 will not be eligible for the waiver. There are no exceptions.

The Intent to Enroll deposit AND New Student Orientation fee are non-refundable, even if your admission is revoked. Initial admission decisions are conditional and based on self-reported information. Final admission confirmation is validated upon the submission of final official transcripts by July 15, 2020.

*Students admitted to the following programs are not required to attend General NSO or pay the General NSO Fee: Applied Studies, Nursing, Quality Assurance, and all Certificate Programs. You will receive information directly from your academic department if a program-specific orientation is required.

 May 15

New CSUDH students must apply for Housing by May 15.

 

 July 15

Transcripts Deadline: Official high school transcripts showing the graduation date must be received by the Admissions Office by this date. Check your Campus Account at My.CSUDH.edu for the latest information on what documents you are still missing. 

NOTE: Electronic transcripts are preferred. 

 August 24

Fall Classes Begin: Also the beginning of the Late Registration/Add/Drop period.
