Freshman Application Instructions

FALL 2018


The Fall 2018 application filing period has now closed.  The priority application filing period was from October 1, 2017 to November 30, 2017.

We are closed to Lower-Division Transfer and 2nd Bachelor’s Degree Applicants. Freshmen are not eligible to apply for the Nursing major. 

While we will continue to admit as many applicants as possible. Due to the limited number of spaces available, applicants are encouraged to apply early and submit all documents prior to deadlines. Your application will be withdrawn if deadlines are not met.

How to Apply: Review the Website, and Apply Online at  After submitting the application online, activate your account and check your To Do List, check your ToroMail regularly, and meet document deadlines. For application guides click on the following: 

Complete and accurate application information is essential:  Failure to file complete, accurate, and authentic application documents may result in denial of admission, cancellation of registration or academic credit, suspension, or expulsion (Section 41301, Article 1.1, Title 5, California Code of Regulations).

Email Address- IMPORTANT Make sure you activate and monitor your ToroMail email account. Important and critical admission information will be sent to this address. Make sure you review your account regularly and do not block messages from the campus.

Freshman applicants must submit official transcripts, including all grades for the first semester of the 12th grade, by February 15, 2018.  Please make sure that all Fall 2017 coursework is graded before submitting transcripts.

Conditional Admits must submit official final high school transcripts, showing receipt of the high school diploma, by July 15, 2018.

Applicants with coursework completed during the Summer 2018 term, which would count toward admission requirements, will not be used to meet Freshman Admission eligibility.

Importance of the Senior Year:  Applicants must continue to do well in their senior year courses.  Admission offers will be based on the self-reported information provided on the application.  If offered admission, final official transcripts with grades and graduation date must be submitted by July 15, 2018 to ensure the terms of the admission offer have been met, including full completion of the college preparatory requirements (a-g course pattern). 

If you have ACT, AP, CLEP or SAT scores, please request official results to be sent by the document deadline.

California resident freshmen who are admitted for Fall and have remediation needs in English or Math will be required to enroll in summer course(s) prior to Fall 2018 attendance. This summer enrollment is mandatory and students should make their Summer 2018 plans accordingly.

All Admitted undergraduate students must submit their Intent to Enroll on their webpage by May 1, 2018. Instructions are provided in the admission letter. If you are admitted after May 1st, your Intent to Enroll will be submitted automatically.

Your application will be withdrawn if deadlines are not met.

Academic records received by CSU-Dominguez Hills will become the property of the University and will not be returned to the student or forwarded to any other institution or agency.

ELECTRONIC TRANSCRIPTS ARE PREFERRED. Paper transcripts may be sent to the CSUDH Office of Admissions & Records, 1000 E. Victoria Street, Carson, CA 90747.

Applying to the Educational Opportunity Program (EOP): Students interested in applying to the Educational Opportunity Program (EOP) must complete their EOP application on Cal State Apply as part of completing their application for admission. When applying through the website, a tile on the left hand side asks if you are interested in the Educational Opportunity Program. Click “yes” in response to the question, this will prompt subsequent questions. You must complete the entire EOP application in order to determine your EOP eligibility.

PRIORITY FILING PERIOD for EOP at CSUDH is October 1st through November 30th.  The application for EOP for CSUDH will also close by the priority deadline at midnight. For any questions regarding the EOP program, please visit the Educational Opportunity Program (EOP) website.

Our EOP program is only open for incoming First Time Freshmen, we are currently not accepting applications for transfer EOP students.
