Spring 2019 Upper Division Transfer Instructions

CSU Dominguez Hills is open to Upper Division Transfer applications for the following majors for the Spring 2019 Term:

Applied Studies, Nursing and Quality Assurance

We are closed to all other majors, Lower-Division Transfers, and 2nd Bachelor’s Degree Applicants. Exception: Nursing students may apply for a 2nd Bachelor’s Degree using the Undergraduate degree level, then selecting “Seeking a second Bachelor’s Degree” on the Extended Profile on Cal State Apply.

Coursework completed during the Fall 2018 term cannot be considered for Spring 2019 admission.

While we will continue to admit as many applicants as possible, due to the limited number of spaces available, applicants are encouraged to apply early and submit all documents prior to deadlines. Your application will be withdrawn if deadlines are not met.

How to Apply: Review the CSUDH.edu website, and apply online at calstate.edu/apply. Initial admissions decisions are based on information students list on Cal State Apply when an application is submitted. Updating academic information after submission is not necessary for CSUDH.

After submitting the application online, activate your My.CSUDH.edu account. Check your To Do List and your ToroMail regularly, and meet document deadlines. For application guides click on the following: 

Complete and accurate application information is essential:  Failure to file complete, accurate, and authentic application documents may result in denial of admission, cancellation of registration or academic credit, suspension, or expulsion (Section 41301, Article 1.1, Title 5, California Code of Regulations).

Email Address IMPORTANT Make sure you activate and monitor your ToroMail email account. Important and critical admission information will be sent to this address. Make sure you review your account regularly and do not block messages from the campus.

Transfer Applicants must submit official transcripts, including all grades for coursework completed through the Summer 2018 by the document deadline. Please make sure that all Summer 2018 coursework is graded before submitting transcripts. 

Applicants with coursework completed during the Fall 2018 term (which would count toward admission requirements) will not be used to meet Transfer Admission eligibility.

Official transcripts are required from all previously attended colleges and universities, including the school you are currently attending, whether coursework was completed or not (even if the courses appear on another transcript).

If you have ACT, AP, CLEP, or SAT scores, please request official results to be sent by the document deadline.

Your application will be withdrawn if deadlines are not met.

If you plan or will be completing an AA-T or AS-T degree at your community college, please make sure to indicate this on the application for admission. In addition, ensure that you complete any requirements at your community college to receive this degree designation on your transcripts. Once you have earned the AA-T or AS-T degree, submit a final official transcript with this degree indicated. Find out which majors have been approved for CSUDH at Degree with a Guarantee

Academic records received by CSU Dominguez Hills will become the property of the university and will not be returned to the student or forwarded to any other institution or agency.

ELECTRONIC TRANSCRIPTS ARE PREFERRED. Paper transcripts may be sent to the CSUDH Office of Admissions & Records, 1000 E. Victoria Street, Carson, CA 90747.

Nursing Applicants

In order to apply for the BSN Program, you must have a RN License or be nearing completion of a Board of Registered Nursing approved RN Program (e.g. enrolled in the final semester of coursework or participating in a program that is affiliated with CSUDH in which concurrent enrollment is permitted).

All Admitted undergraduate students must submit their Intent to Enroll on their my.CSUDH.edu webpage by May 1, 2019. Instructions are provided in the admission letter. If you are admitted after May 1st. Submitting your Intent to Enoll and Registering for New Student Orientation is required for all Fall admitted students
