Schedule a Tour

Come and experience CSUDH's beautiful 346-acre campus in person by taking a guided tour. All guided tours are led by current students who share their personal experiences at CSUDH. During the tour, visitors learn about the rich history of our campus, our academic departments and student services, and the vibrant student life at CSUDH. The guided campus tour lasts approximately one hour. 

We offer two types of campus tours: Prospective Tours and Group Tours. Prospective tours are designed for individual students and/or families who are interested in learning more about the university. Prospective tours can be reserved online by following the link below. Groups of ten or more should reserve a group tour by emailing More information about the Campus Tours program is below.

Prospective Student Tours

Individual students interested in attending the university are encouraged to bring their families and join us for a guided 55-minute walking tour of the campus. This tour is designed to familiarize the student with opportunities that CSUDH can offer. Tour guides will share about important offices and resources, and will help the student become familiar with this university.

  • Prospective tours are offered weekdays only.
  • A confirmation and reminder email will provide further tour details, including tour meeting location.
  • An $9 parking permit may be purchased at any of our university parking lots.

Group Tours

Groups and organizations are welcome to join us for a guided 55-minute walking tour of our campus. Advanced reservations are required for group tours. To request a group tour, please email Due to an overwhelming response for group tours and tour guides educational obligations, group tours are scheduled based on the availability of our tour guides.

  • Teachers and counselors, please email to request a group tour. Please include the following information:
    1. School Name/Organization
    2. Preferred Dates and Times
    3. Number of Students
    4. Age Range/Grade Level
    5. Number of Chaperones

  • Tours starts promptly at time of the confirmed reservation. Plan to arrive 15 minutes before the start time to check in.
  • Please see the campus map [PDF] for bus drop off location. Buses may use the Dominguez Hills Parkway bus stop/flag pole as the group drop off and pick up location. Buses should exit the campus at Birchknoll Drive and return to campus via Toro Center Drive to park west-facing on Dominguez Hills Parkway. Bus parking is limited to 90 minutes. Groups traveling in a car or van that can be parked in a regular parking stall must purchase a parking permit from one of the permit machines, located in any of our university parking lots. 

Fall Campus Tours will be offered Monday-Friday beginning Tuesday, September 3 through Thursday, December 5. Groups can submit requests for spring dates, however we will not begin confirming spring campus tours until December. Due to special events we will not be offering tours on the following dates:
