We have made substantial changes in our program to reduce barriers to access and allow more of the campus community to participate. The event is one week long, and most presentations are asynchronous and viewable anytime throughout the whole week via Whova.

There are four aspects to the program. You must be registered in order to access the Whova weblinks.

Oral Presentations

Oral presentations are pre-recorded and can be viewed starting Monday morning in the Whova Video Gallery. The Whova Video Gallery can be found in the Resources section of the navigation.

The one-hour, live Q&A sessions are taking place on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday via Zoom. There are no overlapping sessions, so you can attend as many as you wish. If you'd like to be part of the audience and ask the presenters questions, please show up at these sessions!

Roundtable Discussions

The Roundtable sessions are livestreamed in Whova and can also be viewed via Zoom on Monday and Tuesday.

Poster Presentations

The poster session is fully asynchronous and will be displayed for viewing throughout the entire week in a virtual poster session. We invite you to engage with the student researchers using the chat function associated with each poster. There is no official time for everybody to be present in the poster session.

To view poster speakers, visit the Poster Session.

Midday Panels

A series of engaging panels, in which faculty, students, and recent CSUDH graduates describe their journeys towards research and to graduate school. These take place on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.

About the Student Research Conference

California State University, Dominguez Hills recognizes student research as a fundamental part of student learning. CSUDH continually explores new ways to provide research opportunities to students and faculty to expand their research knowledge and providing resources for their research and presentation.

The annual Student Research Conference for undergraduate and graduate scholar activities is held to promote excellence in research by recognizing outstanding students accomplishments across the disciplines at CSUDH.

CSU Student Research Competition

Based on the judges' evaluations, up to 10 presentations will be selected for the CSU Statewide Student Research Competition. Students who elect to present their work in poster format, although they will be judged, are not eligible for the CSU Statewide Student Research Competition.

This year the 35th Annual CSU Student Research Competition will be hosted by Cal Poly Pomona on Friday, April 30 and Saturday, May 1, 2021.
