PeopleSoft Student/HR/CFS Maintenance

Beginning Friday, February 2, 2018 at 11:59pm to Monday, February 5, 2018 at 7:00am; PeopleSoft Student /HR/CFS will be unavailable due to a CSU system-wide data center move.  During this time, Student Center, Faculty Center, Finance, Absence Management, and Employee Self-Service will not be available. The MyCSUDH Portal will be available but links to any HR, Finance and Student functions will not be available.

The following systems are not affected and will remain available during the upgrade: Blackboard, Toromail, E-Mail, EAB, Lynda.com, and other non-PeopleSoft applications.


Network Maintenance

Beginning Thursday January 18, 2018 from 10pm-2am; the network team will be conducting emergency updates to our campus network hardware. These updates are recommended by the CSU and our hardware vendor due to potential security vulnerabilities.

Recently computer researchers have found that components in most computers and networks are susceptible to security vulnerabilities. These design flaws in the hardware are now being targeted for exploitation by allowing malicious programs to steal data. Maintenance is required because it potentially affects computers on our network, including all workstations and our servers.

We will be working to minimize disruption of network services but connectivity may be interrupted during these updates.


PeopleSoft Student/HR Maintenance

Due to unforeseen issues at the Chancellor’s Office, our weekly PeopleSoft maintenance needs to be re-scheduled this week for Thursday, January 11, 2018 from 8pm – 12am; PeopleSoft Student /HR will be unavailable due to maintenance.

During this time, Student Center, Faculty Center, Absence Management, and Employee Self-Service will not be available. The MyCSUDH Portal will be available but links to any HR and Student functions will not be available.


PeopleSoft Student/HR Maintenance

Beginning Friday, January 5, 2018 from 6pm – 10pm; PeopleSoft Student /HR will be unavailable due to server maintenance.  During this time, Student Center, Faculty Center, Absence Management, and Employee Self-Service will not be available. The MyCSUDH Portal will be available but links to any HR and Student functions will not be available.

Blackboard Maintenance

Thursday, January 4, 2018 beginning at 1:30 A.M., Blackboard Learn will be unavailable for 12 hours due to a system upgrade.​


MyCSUDH/PeopleSoft Maintenance

On Sunday November 12th from 12:01am to 6:01am,  PeopleSoft Student /HR and Financials (CFS) will be unavailable due to a CSU System-wide maintenance.

The following systems are not affected and will remain available during the upgrade: Blackboard, Toromail, E-Mail, Lynda.com, and other non-PeopleSoft HR/CFS/Student applications.


MyCSUDH/PeopleSoft Maintenance

The maintenance to the PeopleSoft Student/HR system will need to be extended.  We anticipate the PeopleSoft Student/HR system to be available on Monday, November 6th by 12noon.  We apologize for the delay and inconvenience.  During this time, Student Center, Faculty Center, Absence Management, and Employee Self-Service will not be available. The MyCSUDH Portal will be available but links to any HR and Student functions will not be available.  Student Services such as Cashiers, Financial Aid Office, Student Records, and some similar services may be affected.

The following systems are not affected and will remain available during the upgrade: Blackboard, Toromail, E-Mail, CFS, EAB, Lynda.com, and other non-PeopleSoft HR/Student applications.


MyCSUDH/PeopleSoft Maintenance

Beginning Thursday November 2nd 5pm to Monday November 6th 8am, PeopleSoft Student/HR will be unavailable due to an upgrade and split of HR and Student systems.  During this time, Student Center, Faculty Center, Absence Management, and Employee Self-Service will not be available.  The MyCSUDH Portal will be available but links to any HR and Student functions will not be available.

In addition the Cashiers Office will be closed on Friday, Nov 3rd due to this upgrade.

The following systems are not affected and will remain available during the upgrade: Blackboard, Toromail, E-Mail, CFS, EAB, Lynda.com, and other non-PeopleSoft HR/Student applications.


Wireless Upgrade

Beginning on Friday, Oct 27, 2017 between 12am - 2am, users may experience intermittent wireless access due to a campus-wide wireless software upgrade.


Network Maintenance

Beginning Thursday 10/5/17, between 11:00 pm to 1:00 am, users may experience intermittent network connectivity due to maintenance.


MyCSUDH/PeopleSoft Year-End Process

PeopleSoft HR/SA, Student Center, Faculty Center, and employee self-service will be unavailable due to fiscal year-end processing beginning 12:00 PM on Friday, June 30th until 8:00 AM Saturday, July 1st. BlackBoard and ToroMail will be unaffected.


MyCSUDH Maintenance

Beginning Friday June 2nd  5pm to Saturday June 3rd 12pm, MyCSUDH portal will be unavailable due to maintenance. 


Blackboard Maintenance

Blackboard will be offline beginning Friday May 26th, 2017 3:30 am to approximately 5:30 pm due to maintenance and security upgrades.  During this time frame, users will be unable to access Blackboard. Please plan accordingly.  


Network Maintenance

Beginning Thursday April 27th, 2017 11 pm to Friday April 28th, 2017 2 am, maintenance will be performed on the campus network. During this time you may experience intermittent connection to campus systems.


Skillport Maintenance

Beginning Thursday March 9th, 2017 10 pm, to Friday March 10th, 2017 10 pm, Skillport will be unavailable due to scheduled maintenance.


Telephone Maintenance

In partnership with CSU Fullerton and in an effort to streamline and better manage our communication services, CSU Dominguez Hills will be switching telephone service carriers on Tuesday, February 14, 2017 starting at 5 a.m. and completing at 8 a.m.
During this transition, outgoing calls will not be interrupted; however, incoming calls may experience brief interruption of service. If you reach an error message when calling the campus, please try again within 3 minutes.


VoIP Phone Maintenance

On Thursday, February 2, 2017, beginning at 10:00pm the campus will be upgrading our telephone equipment which will affect office and classroom phones. The phones will experience intermittent service for about 15 - 20 minutes while this upgrade is taking place.


Campus Border Firewall Maintenance

To improve our network security, Information Technology will be working on the campus border firewalls on Thursday, December 08, 2016, at 10:00 pm

As a part of the planned maintenance, a new feature will be turned on which will block all inbound/outbound communication to known phishing/malware sites. No user services will be affected.  


VoIP Telephone Maintenance

On Thursday, November 10, 2016 beginning at 3:00 AM, Information Technology will be updating firmware on all campus VoIP telephones. During this process, the telephones will restart a few times. You will also notice a new look on the screen, but should not notice any difference in functionality.


Shibboleth Authentication Maintenance

Thursday, November 3rd from 10:00PM to 12:00AM, maintenance will be performed on the Shibboleth Authentication System. During this time, you may experience intermittent authentication errors.

Tuesday August 16, 2016 from 10:00PM to 12:00AM, the Shibboleth Authentication System will be upgraded to the latest version. During this time, users may experience intermittent authentication errors.


Border Firewall Upgrade

On Thursday August 11, 2016 from 10:00PM to 2:00AM, the border Firewall will be replaced with a new appliance. During this time, remote access to University systems from off-campus could be impacted.


Shibboleth Authentication Upgrade

On Thursday August 11, 2016 from 10:00PM to 12:00AM, the Shibboleth Authentication System will be upgraded to the latest version. During this time, you may experience intermittent authentication errors.


Telephone Upgrade

On Friday, August 5, 2016 beginning at 3:00AM, Information Technology will be updating firmware on all campus VoIP telephone handsets. During this process, the handsets will restart a few times.

On Thursday August 4, 2016 from10:00PM to 12:00AM, maintenance will be performed on our Shibboleth Authentication systems.  During this time, you may experience intermittent authentication errors.


Student Network and Toromail Accounts Maintenance

On Thursday August 4, 2016, the de-commission of CSUDH Student network and Toromail accounts for students who have not been enrolled in the campus for more than two (2) years, have no active application with the University, and are not currently a member of the CSUDH Alumni Association.


System Maintenance

On July 25th, 2016, from 10:00 P.M. to 2:00 A.M., the Division of Information Technology’s server team will perform maintenance on a storage device, which will involve a part replacement. This key replacement piece requires the device to be shut down while performing maintenance. Please note this will impact access to campus servers during this time. Once the part has been replaced, the device will be powered back up and access to the servers will be restored.


System Maintenance

On July 7th, 2016, from 10:00 P.M. to 2:00 A.M., the Division of Information Technology will be performing the following maintenance/changes:
