Telecommunications services provide operation and maintenance of University voice communications in support of faculty, staff and students.

Telecommunication Services

Telecommunication services includes provision and maintenance of campus office telephones, courtesy telephones and directories, emergency telephone call boxes, maintenance of the campus on-line telephone directory, disseminates information on communications policies and procedures, equipment and usage and provides consultation on projects involving voice communications.

Request for New Service

Submit your request for new service through the helpdesk ServiceNow ticket system. The office of Telecommunication Services is responsible for reviewing and approving telephone service requests. Please allow two weeks for processing.

Service Charges

Request Add/Move/Change for campus telephone

There is a charge for any adds, moves or changes for campus telephones. Request service through a helpdesk ticket. Reporting Problems: Call (310) 243-3800 and give the telephone number, location, MAC Address (found on reverse label), your name, department, and the nature of the problem. Alternately, report a problem through a helpdesk ticket.

Conference Telephones

You can request to reserve a time for a general conference call through Telephone Services, x3800. They will contact you with availability and a number for participant dial-in. If there is a Polycom conference phone in the room, please refer to the instruction page below.

On-line Campus Directory

Contact information for Departments, faculty and staff can be found in the On-line Campus Directory. Searches are available by Department, Name, Extension and Email address. If there is a change in any of the categories, please submit the updated information through ServiceNow.

Telephone Guidelines and Policies

The University Telephone Policy and Guidelines as of August 1998 [Supersedes PM 94-04]. This is the University policy regarding telephone services and the use of telephones. The objective of these policies is to provide satisfactory customer service in a cost effective manner.
