I'm a first-gen student who comes from a family 11, I'm a middle child. My major is Film, Tv, and Media. My dreams and aspiration is to be a storyteller, I like stories and wrtitng/telling them is something I aspire to be. My career goals is to hopefully work as a screenwriter and work on writing scripts for future film/show projects. I don't really know what excites me but I know that writing tends to motivate me, it helps me be creative and focused. I work and serve latinx students at La Casita because I know it's hard to navigate through college and with my background I have a sense of how it's like to pursue a dream that seems impossible but it can be achieveable with the right sources and support which is what I strive to do here at La Casita.

Hello Fellow Toros! My name is Gustavo Cardenas, and I am a first-generation Transfer student from East Los Angeles Community College. I am a Junior and a Human Services Major. I love to barbecue and work on cars on my spare time. Playing video games and watching movies are my stress relievers. I hope to one day give back to communities by encouraging, motivating, and guiding individuals to achieve their goals, whether it may be educational or career exploration which is why I am here, at La Casita, as a Community Advocate helping my fellow peers.
