Faculty Services

Services for Faculty

In addition to the standard library services, we offer several faculty-only services to assist you in your research. Please contact the liaison librarian for your college regarding any of the following services.

  • Consultations: Meet with a librarian for one-on-one or group faculty consultations to assist you with the use of library resources including our online databases.
  • Suggest a Purchase: We welcome suggestions for Books and eBooks that support curriculum, courses, and faculty research. Fill out our suggest a purchase form and we will contact you with the availability of the item and order it if possible. Please note that due to budgetary constraints we cannot guarantee we will order the suggested item.

  • Classroom Instruction: Collaborate with one of our librarians to teach students information literacy concepts and research skills. Request an online instruction session and we’ll design a customized class session for your class and/or assignment(s) and host you in our Library Instruction Labs.
  • Assignment Design: Consult with a librarian on the design of research assignments as well as recommend resources. If you would like to add a librarian to your Blackboard course or discuss a possible collaboration with a librarian, contact Carolyn Caffrey Gardner or your liaison librarian.
  • Online Learning: Collaborate with your liaison librarian or contact Tessa Withorn, Online Learning Librarian, to create a customized research guide or tutorial on a subject or course topic.
