OSX 995: Rigging Awareness

Course Description

This course focuses on the recognition and use of common rigging equipment. Course will cover application and rejection criteria for common rigging equipment including slings, shackles and bolts. Emphasis will be placed on hazard recognition and common abatement methods for common rigging operations.

Who Should Attend

Individuals involved in the following activities: Assisting with rigging operations, overseeing rigging operations, performing rigging operations and individuals looking to train other qualified riggers.

1. Recognize common hazards associated with rigging operations
2. Describe common abatement methods used to protect workers
3. Utilize industry recognized rejection criteria for common rigging equipment
4. Recognize common equipment used in rigging
5. Describe rigging equipment limitations and proper use
