Proctoring Services

The CSUDH Testing Center provides proctoring services Monday- Friday, based on the availability of the center and center staffing, for a fee. Examinations are monitored by a team of trained invigilators. Beginning summer 2018, students will be monitored by audio and video recording.

Proctor Fees

Proctor fees are due at the completion of the test session. Fees are payable by credit/debit card, check or money order.  Proctor fees are $25 for the first hour and $20 for every additional hour. Students taking the CLEP examination will pay a fee of $35.

Scheduling an Appointment

Students must schedule an appointment for testing no later than 48 hours before their desired test date.  Proctor services begin at 8:30am and conclude no later than 4:30pm. Same day and drop in appointments are not available.

When scheduling a proctor appointment with the Testing Center, the following information should be provided:

  • Name
  • Contact Number
  • Email Address
  • College/University
  • Course Name and Number
  • Instructor
  • Exam Type: computer based or paper based
  • Exam Time Frame
  • Expected Deadline

Proctor Appointment

Examinee Responsibility

Students testing with the Toro Learning and Testing Center are responsible for ensuring that all required forms are completed prior to scheduling their appointment. Furthermore, it is the student’s responsibility to ensure that materials are sent to the CSUDH Toro Learning and Testing Center before their appointment.

Students are expected to report to their exam prepared to test. Students will not be allowed to print any instructor approved materials, if any, in the Testing Center.

All students must have a valid, government or school issued photo ID to test, (see identification guidelines).

Cell phones, tablets, and other electronic devices are prohibited from the testing room, unless specified by their instructor.

Lockers are provided for personal items not allowed in the testing room.

Students who arrive 15 minutes after their exam appointment are subject to cancellation. Please notify Testing immediately if you will be more than 15 minutes late.

Missing a scheduled appointment without notifying the office prior to test may result in the student being ineligible to use Testing Center proctoring services.

Identification Guidelines

Students are required to present a current photo ID to test

All identification must:

  • Be an original document – photocopied documents are not acceptable.
  • Bear the student’s full name, in English language characters, as it appears in our system.
  • Middle initials are optional and only need to match the first letter of the middle name.
  • Bear a recent, recognizable photograph that clearly matches the student.

Examples of acceptable forms of ID are provided below:

  • Student ID card
  • State issued ID card
  • Driver's license
  • Passport
  • Citizenship card (with photo)
  • Military ID
