A Midsummer Night's Dream

A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM

By William Shakespeare
Directed by Kelly Herman
Choreographed by Sarah Cashmore

Shakespeare’s classic and most beloved comedy portrays the events surrounding the marriage of Theseus, the Duke of Athens, to Hippolyta, the former queen of the Amazons. Included in the festivities are the adventures of four young Athenian lovers: Helena, Hermia, Lysander and Demetrius, who in a series of mismatches and mistaken identities are magically reconciled. Also cavorting in the forest is a group of amateur actors (the mechanicals) who, while preparing for the upcoming wedding feast, are controlled and manipulated by the fairies that inhabit the forest surrounding the kingdom. A fun and frolicsome adventure will be had by all.
