Charge On To Graduation (COTG) is a junior intervention program designed for students who have earned 74-89 units. It is an interactive advising program intended to support students in identifying their degree requirements, creating their educational plan, and preparing for graduation. Charge On To Graduation seeks to familiarize students with the junior year “Student Advising Learning Outcomes” (SALOS). 

Learning Objectives:

  • Understand the difference between Commencement and Graduation
  • Identify when, where, and how to apply for graduation
  • Identify the 6 graduation requirements
  • Understand how to utilize the Academic Requirements Report to track progress towards completion of all graduation requirements
  • Understand how to access, navigate, and utilize SMART Planner to create an academic plan and determine their expected graduation term
  • Learn about campus resources for graduate school and/or careers within their field

Who? Juniors who have earned 74-89 units (including transfer coursework). 

Why? To equip students nearing their senior class standing with the knowledge of the policies and procedures relating to graduation and commencement at CSUDH.

When? Offered every Fall and Spring. Spring 2022 dates coming soon.

Do you have a hold from Fall 2021 or earlier? Please complete the steps below for the COTG makeup procedure to have your hold removed.

  3. Complete pre-survey included in the second slide of the video. Press stop on the video until you complete the survey. Once done, you may proceed.
  4. Watch the entire remaining of the video
  5. Complete Exit Survey found at the end of the video. Press stop until you complete the survey.

Please ensure both pre and exit survey are completed. They are required for the Charge on to Graduation hold to be released.

The hold will be released within two business days (Monday – Friday) after receiving your survey responses.
