Charge On to Graduation

Charge On To Graduation (COTG) is a junior intervention program designed for students who have earned 74-89 units. It is an interactive advising program intended to support students in identifying their degree requirements, creating their educational plan, and preparing for graduation. Charge On To Graduation seeks to familiarize students with the junior year “Student Advising Learning Outcomes” (SALOS). 

Objectives:

  • Understand the difference between Commencement and Graduation
  • Identify when, where, and how to apply for graduation
  • Identify the 6 graduation requirements
  • Understand how to utilize the Academic Requirements Report to track progress towards completion of all graduation requirements
  • Understand how to access, navigate, and utilize SMART Planner to create an academic plan and determine their expected graduation term
  • Learn about campus resources for graduate school and/or careers within their field

Who? Juniors who have earned 74-89 units (including transfer coursework)

Why? To equip students nearing their senior class standing with the knowledge of the policies and procedures relating to graduation and commencement at CSUDH

When? Check your Toromail (inbox and Spam/Junk) for notification that you have earned 74-89 units and are required to complete COTG this semester.

Instructions for completing the COTG Make-up Process: 

Please follow the steps below to view the interactive video and complete the COTG requirement. Holds are removed multiple times/day Monday - Friday. 

  1. Click this link: https://csudh.techsmithrelay.com/rlay
  2. Sign-in with your student credentials.
  3. Play the video and answer the review questions throughout.
  4. Open a separate browser window and type the attendance survey link EXACTLY as it appears on the screen (all lowercase).
  5. Complete the attendance survey to fulfill the COTG requirement and to have your hold removed. (Make sure you enter your 9-digit student id number correctly.)

COTG Hold

If you have a COTG hold and have previously completed the COTG requirement, please email Karen Hill at khill60@csudh.edu. Include your full name, 9-digit student id number, and the date you completed the COTG Zoom workshop or make-up video.
