Survey Action Research

Research Opportunity for Faculty and Students

CSUDH has been awarded faculty and student stipends in a funded grant project to improve student retention and graduation through a comprehensive survey research program.  The project involves teams of faculty, students and IEA staff working in concert to design new studies to compile student feedback.  The findings of these studies will lead to proposals for policy and programmatic changes needed for improved retention and graduation.  In addition, the work of faculty, staff and students will create numerous opportunities for High Impact Practices (HIP) in the area of undergraduate or graduate student research.  The research projects will conclude with manuscripts being submitted to peer reviewed journals for publication.  This project models how making data driven decisions can also be used as a mechanism for promoting teaching, research and service within the academic programs of the University
