Our Work

Mission

The Division of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Justice (DEIJ) supports and promotes the university’s commitment to cultivating a caring community and sense of belonging that fosters an inclusive campus culture. Our primary goal is to set the tone for shaping an environment that is just, diverse, and inclusive, working in partnership with other university departments and external organizations. The division is committed to achieving the university’s diversity, equity, and inclusion goals as outlined in the Going Far Together Strategic Plan. The division provides university-wide leadership to create a more inclusive environment for all.

Divisional Strategic Direction (2023-2026)

The section below outlines divisional ambitions over the next three academic years (2023-2026). This outline will serve as our roadmap to achieving our future state. This strategic direction will help the division prioritize our efforts as new initiatives and opportunities arise. As the work unfolds, we will continually assess and adjust our efforts and articulate their outcomes and impact on student success.
