New Student Orientation

Whether you are an incoming freshman, transfer, returning, international, or veteran student, attending New Student Orientation at CSUDH is a great way to get hands-on help. NSO provides pathways to student involvement, connection with the academic community, an understanding of campus expectations, and assistance with the transition process. At NSO you will meet with an advisor, register for courses, and learn about student services and resources available that will support your success on campus.

Freshmen Requirements

CSUDH ranks applicants by a combination of GPA and SAT/ACT test scores. Applicants must also complete the pattern of college preparatory curriculum (a–g courses).

Transfer admission is based on a specific set of requirements including major GPA, General Education, preparation for major courses, and major impaction criteria.

A Degree with a Guarantee (ADT/AA-T/AS-T)

The Associate Degree for Transfer is a pathway that's widely accepted throughout the CSU system, in which a student completes approximately half of their bachelor’s degree at the Community College and half at a CSU campus.
