The TLTC is Now Offering Hybrid Services

Welcome to the Toro Learning & Testing Center (TLTC). In accordance with the university's COVID-19 response, the TLTC will be offering services through hybrid office hours. Until further notice, we are providing limited testing services, and tutoring services are resuming in-person and online starting Monday, August 30th. We thank you in advance for your cooperation during this difficult time as we strive to keep our students, families, communities, and ourselves safe and healthy. About Us

The Toro Learning and Testing Center (TLTC) offers a variety of academic support to all currently enrolled and matriculated CSU Dominguez Hills students. The Learning Center strives to create an open atmosphere of learning, promote engaged academic scholarship, and to provide students with opportunities to be fully integrated into the rich culture of the university. The Testing Center supports and enhances student success by providing secure and comfortable atmosphere for testing. AAC&U (2007) describes lifelong learning as “all purposeful learning activity, undertaken on an ongoing basis with the aim of improving knowledge skills and competence.” The Toro Learning and Testing Center’s tutor training program is certified by the College of Reading & Learning Association (CRLA) and adheres to the professional standards and guidelines set forth by the National College Testing Association (NCTA), and the Supplemental Instruction program is certified by the University of Missouri-Kansas City (UMKC). The TLTC will be closed in observance of the following holidays:

Veteran's Day, November 11th, 2021
Thanksgiving Weekend, November 25th, 2021 - November 28th, 2021

No tutoring services will be offered on October 11th, 2021 in observance of Indigenous People's Day, but the center will remain open.

GWE Updates

Per AA 2020-04, the Graduation Writing Assessment Requirement (GWAR) and the Graduation Writing Exam (GWE) are temporarily suspended due to COVID-19 for Spring 2021, Summer 2021, and the 2021-2022 academic year (fall and spring). Please note that students who are graduating Spring 2021, Summer 2021, Fall 2021 and Spring 2022 are exempt from the GWAR.
