Graduation Information

Log into MyCSUDH and review your Degree Progress Report. This report will list all requirements that have completed and will indicate any remaining requirements needed to complete your degree. Meeting all degree requirements is the student’s responsibility. You may need to contact your Major Department and the University Advisement Center if you have any additional questions or concerns. Also, review and verify that your current academic plan (major/minor) is correct on your student record.

Bachelor’s Degree Candidates

Each prospective graduate must file for graduation. A student is eligible to apply for graduation if fewer than 10 courses are needed to complete the degree and after completion of 100 semester units. The Application for Graduation, also available in the Office of Admissions & Records, should be taken to the Cashier’s Office with payment during the announced filing periods. Please direct all questions regarding graduation procedures to the Customer Service Unit at (310) 243-3645.

Master’s Degree Candidates

Each prospective graduate must file for graduation. The Application for Graduation, also available in the Office of Admission & Records, should be taken to the Cashier’s Office with payment during the announced filing periods. Please direct all questions regarding graduation procedures to the Graduation Unit of the Office of Admissions & Records.


Application Filing Periods

The Application for Graduation must be filed in accordance with the following schedule.  Failure to apply in accordance with the schedule below could delay your degree past your intended graduation date. Also, there will be additional fees assessed for applying after the regular deadline.

Application Deadlines

Graduation Applications Filed Before or By the Deadline

The Degree Checks (Graduation Evaluations) for students who submit the Application for Graduation by the published deadlines are reviewed in date received/filed order. The timely filing of the Application for Graduation will insure the degree checks will be processed prior to the last day to add classes for the term of anticipated graduation.

Graduation Applications Filed After the Deadline

Requests to file an Application for Graduation after the regular deadline requires an additional $15.00 fee and must be submitted with the application and $85.00 graduation processing/diploma fee to be processed
