Course Description:

Why do some pieces of music elicit a strong emotional and physical reaction when we hear it? How do cocaine, coffee and cigarettes control our behavior? What did scientists learn by studying people copulating in a brain scanning machine? These questions all relate to the brain's reward system, which supports the human pursuit of pleasure.
