IEC – Gateway to International Education
International Education Center (IEC) serves as a center for activities that enhance the internationalization of the campus.  The Center promotes a broad range of international programs and initiatives including:

- Internationalization of the curriculum
- International exchange opportunities for faculty, staff and students
- Study abroad opportunities for students
- Campus-based programs and activities that enhance international awareness
- Greater integration of the international student population in campus life
- Linkages between campus and community with respect to shared interest in internationalization

Featured Speaker: Professor Ngugi Wa Thiong’o
Wednesday, November 13, 3pm – 4pm, Reception 4pm – 5pm, Loker Student Union Ballroom
Ngugi Wa Thiong’o PhD is a Distinguished Professor of English and Comparative Literature at the University of California, Irvine. He is one of Africa’s leading and by far the most controversial writers. He is the recipient of many honors and several honorary doctorates. Professor Thiong’o is an internationally recognized novelist, essayist, playwright, journalist, editor and academic and social activist from Kenya.
