Resheda Patterson (she/her/hers) is the Extended Education Field Coordinator and Lecturer. Ms. Patterson believes she was destined to be a social worker and educator and has had the pleasure of serving “those who need her the most” for over 15 years. Ms. Patterson’s work experience ranges from working with the Department of Children and Family Services, Boys & Girls Clubs, and various non-profit organizations. She’s provided support to her community as a child welfare consultant, field consultant, as well as a social services investigator for child safety. Ms. Patterson was integral in piloting and developing an MSW Intern Program that would provide much needed mental health support to members of Boys & Girls Clubs throughout Los Angeles County. Prior to becoming full-time faculty at CSU Dominguez Hills, Ms. Patterson was an adjunct faculty member in the MSW Department for 3 years teaching generalist practice and specialization year field practicum classes. Ms. Patterson enjoys sharing her past experience as an Emergency Response Social Worker and field instructor with her students.
