The safety of your event and your attendees is one of the most important aspects of your meeting plan. But how much time do people spend on planning and preparing for emergencies? This course will teach meeting and event planners how to identify and measure risks, develop procedures for mitigation, and how to implement such procedures. Students will leave the class with a template for an event Emergency Action Plan.

Individuals who coordinate meetings, conferences, wedding, fundraisers, sports programs, social functions or other types of events. Students who previously participated in CSUDH’s Meeting and Event Planning certificate program courses in the past will be able to receive additional knowledge. Human resource and management professionals who are responsible for planning and overseeing meetings & events for employees or customers.
Due to the current health crisis, this course will be conducted online using Zoom and the Blackboard Learning Management System. Live virtual class sessions will be conducted at the day/time indicated in the program schedule. Attendance at all class sessions is required.

If a course in which you are interested is no longer displaying in the course schedule, please be aware that its registration deadline may have already passed, or the course may have already reached capacity. Review the schedule for alternate dates, or sign up for Program Updates to be notified of upcoming classes.
