About the Construction Project Management Program

Construction professionals gain practical knowledge and expertise through the online Certificate program in Construction Project Management. This innovative and timely series of courses is designed for construction personnel, contractors, architects, engineers, owners, developers, real estate professionals, city planning personnel, building managers, and those wishing to enter the field of construction management. You participate with others who face the same kind of professional problems; at the same time, you will obtain the skills necessary to successfully manage in the field of construction practices.

Topics covered include: construction accounting, acquisitions, estimation, plan reading, field project, management, real estate law, bidding and scheduling, and construction safety.

Certificate Requirements

To receive the Certificate, candidates must successfully complete eight intensive courses. Those who do not wish to pursue a certificate may take individual classes. All courses provide Continuing Education Units (CEUs). Plan Reading should be taken before Estimating.

Course Location

All classes are offered live online.

The classes are convenient for people living and working in or near Los Angeles, Torrance, Long Beach, Carson, Compton, El Segundo, Lomita, Harbor City, Palos Verdes, Manhattan Beach, Hermosa Beach, Redondo Beach, San Pedro, Lawndale, Hawthorne, Gardena, Westchester, Ladera Heights, Lakewood, Paramount, Bellflower, Downey, Inglewood, Wilmington, and other parts of the South Bay and Southern California.

This program exposes a new owner/manager to the other side besides field operations; so crucial to evaluate if jobs are actually profitable and how to improve in any area.
