What is the California State University System?

The Donohoe Higher Education Act established the California State University system in the early 1960’s. It currently consists of 23 campuses covering the state from Humboldt in the north to San Diego in the south. Current enrollment for all CSU campuses exceeds 350,000 full/part-time students with a faculty of more than 18,000.

What is ISM?

In 2002, NAPM changed its name to ISM (Institute for Supply Management). They were formerly known as National Association of Purchasing managers (NAPM). Their function is still to provide education in purchasing, but now focusing on the whole supply chain.

What exactly is the Purchasing Online Certificate Program?

For over 30 years CSUDH has teamed together with purchasing professionals to offer a certificate and other training for adults desiring to obtain a comprehensive education in the field of Procurement Management. All instructors are leading purchasing professionals who love to teach and are very good at what they do – both on the job and in the classroom.

Is the Purchasing Online Certificate program accredited?

Yes! CSUDH and the Purchasing Online Certificate are fully accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC), the western member of a nationwide network of educational accrediting bodies.

Are the credits earned degree applicable?

Yes. Each course in the program grants 3 semester units of upper division degree applicable credit accepted by most universities and colleges. Determination regarding acceptance of transfer credit is at the discretion of each individual college or university. There is a three-year time limit from the time you enroll in the first course to complete the courses and earn the certificate.

Is financial aid available?

Student loan programs are applicable to certificate programs such as purchasing. Many companies also have excellent tuition reimbursement programs and we can arrange to invoice your company.

When you're ready to register, select the " Add" button to the left of your desired course(s), and then select the " Cart" to begin the Checkout process.

If you have previously taken a class at CSUDH, you can fast-track your registration by logging in.

If the course you want to register for has a prerequisite, after selecting "Checkout & Pay", you must Log In using your CSUDH campus credentials so that the system can verify that you have completed the required prerequisite course.

The deadline to enroll for courses for most certificate programs is FOUR (4) BUSINESS DAYS or earlier before the class begins; course schedules are updated daily.
