Course Description

This course will discuss Cal/OSHA’s requirement for employers to develop and implement an effective Injury and Illness Prevention Program (IIPP). Participants will develop strategies for reviewing and updating existing IIPP, including the 8 key elements of an effective IIPP.

Learning Outcomes

  1. Explain the importance of an IIPP and why it came into existence
  2. Describe what the IIPP comprises and list its 8 key elements
  3. Develop strategies to implement an effective IIPP
  4. Review an update an existing IIPP

  • A laptop with Wi-Fi capability

Online System and Equipment Requirements

  • An internet connection – broadband wired or wireless (3G or 4G/LTE)
  • Access to computer or laptop; one student per device
  • A stand-alone webcam or secondary device such as a phone for students attending OSHA 510, 511, 500 and 501.
  • Built-in or stand-alone speakers and a microphone
