We know you may have questions about the next steps to make your transition to campus go as smoothly as possible. To help answer your questions, you are required to attend International New Student Orientation.
NSO for international students is mandatory and designed to help you navigate our campus, while maximizing your time and your success. At NSO, you will meet with advisors from your major and/or academic college before you can register for classes.
You’ll need to meet a number of requirements before you can reserve your spot for International New Student Orientation (NSO):
Spots for orientation can only be reserved online. They cannot be reserved by emailing or calling.
You will receive an email with information on how to reserve your spot online. Be sure to check your Toro email for this notice. To reserve a spot for NSO, you must have completed your Intent to Enroll. If you believe you have completed your Intent to Enroll but have not received an email, please call (310) 243-2113.
You will also receive an e-mail from the International Student Services office regarding a second mandatory orientation. For any questions please call the International Student Services (ISS) office at (001) 310-243-3786.
Orientation sessions are scheduled during the summer. It is recommended that you reserve your orientation spot online as soon as possible.
We highly recommend not making summer travel plans until an orientation reservation has been confirmed.
The orientation program for International students is a full day program from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Lunch is included with the orientation fee.
The (non-refundable) NSO registration fee is $99.
Please call (310) 243-2113 or email orientation@csudh.edu for more information.
