Youth Protection Policy Registration Procedure

The youth protection policy requires campus departments and programs working with minors, including those in the auxiliaries, to submit a registration form, prior to beginning program activities. Departments or programs without an approved registration form on record shall not conduct any youth activities on or off campus.

Procedure

  1. Complete the Youth Protection Program Registration Form. All fields must be completed including all signatures and dates.

  2. Complete the second page of the registration form listing program/department employees that will work with minors.

  3. Submit to the Dean/Executive Director/Associate Vice President and Vice President/Provost for approval. Forward packet to Risk Management at riskmanagement@csudh.edu.

  4. HR will work with employees that need a livescan.

  5. Risk Management will assign online training after HR confirms livescan is cleared.

  6. Risk Management will return the approved registration form to the Program Director after livescan, and online trainings are completed.

Key Points 

  • Youth Protection Registration Form must be received by Risk Management at least 30 days prior to beginning any program youth activities. 
  • Incomplete forms will be returned to the Program Director. 
  • Risk Management will copy all signatories on the notice of approval of the registration form from the central campus.
