Thru in Two Scholars Program

The CSUDH Thru in Two Scholars Program fully supports transfer students who have earned an Associate's Degree for transfer from a California Community College and have a minimum transfer GPA of a 2.3. Students who choose the Thru in Two Scholars Program will be offered the courses they need to complete their bachelor’s degrees in two academic years. From the time they step onto the California State University, Dominguez Hills (CSUDH) campus until their graduation they will participate in relevant and meaningful academic experiences, leadership and professional development opportunities.

For students who choose to participate in the Thru in Two Scholars Program at CSUDH, benefits include:

  • The exact courses students both need and want to finish their degree programs in two years;
  • Holistic/Developmental academic advising for two years on campus;
  • A unique opportunity to participate in campus-wide leadership activities, research opportunities, service learning, and student organizations from the junior year forward;
  • Priority registration every semester;
  • Individual mentorship and guidance from CSUDH faculty.

2 Year Pledge - Thru in Two Scholars Program eligibility includes continuous enrollment to remain eligible.

Students who choose the Thru in Two Scholars Program agree to:

  • Earn 15 units per semester or 30 units per academic year (may include summer).
  • Meet with an expert team of academic advisors (Thru in Two Advisor & Major advisor) every semester;
  • Maintain a minimum 2.50 cumulative GPA 

Every Semester

  • Meet with your advisor
  • Update your 2 year plan and have your faculty and college specialist review it with you
  • Successfully complete 30 academic units per year
  • Finish each semester in good academic standing
