As with any CSU-managed technology service, AI tools are subject to the CSU Responsible Use Policy. This policy acknowledges the CSU’s legal and operational obligations to access user data in some cases, but also clearly states: “These activities are not intended to restrict, monitor, or utilize the content of legitimate academic and organizational communications.”
