CSUDH is committed to the ethical and responsible use of AI in education and research. To guide appropriate integration of AI technologies while upholding academic integrity and data security, please review the CSU Systemwide Ethical and Responsible Use of AI and the CSUDH Responsible Use Policy. These resources outline recommended policies, guidelines, and best practices for using AI across academic and operational settings.

User Privacy

As with any CSU-managed technology service, AI tools are subject to the CSU Responsible Use Policy. This policy acknowledges the CSU’s legal and operational obligations to access user data in some cases, but also clearly states: “These activities are not intended to restrict, monitor, or utilize the content of legitimate academic and organizational communications.”
