Build a framework for a media campaign through a social / emotional analysis of user demographics / psychographics on media platforms. Focus on tools and techniques; intellectual property; monetization; predictive models. Begin a portfolio to implement a personal media campaign.

JMX 902 Images, Graphics, Platforms and Content

1.2 CEUs | No Prerequisites
This course covers visual messaging in social media formats; psychological / emotional impact of image elements; tools and applications to create professional quality images. Focus on effective content on each platform; best practices for creation and distribution of your content.

JMX 903 Journalism, Publishing, Entertainment and eCommerce

1.2 CEUs | No Prerequisites
This course covers designing and building a brand and making it marketable through digital content. Students will learn the elements that are required to take a simple idea (i.e. Pokemon) and build it into a social phenomenon.

JMX 904 Politics, Social Cause Marketing and Community Building

1.2 CEU | No Prerequisites
This course covers how convergence media can be used to move the masses to take action toward a desired goal. Micro-topics include propaganda, digital town hall meetings, socially conscious platforms, polling and interview techniques.

JMX 905 How to Make Anything Go Viral

0.6 CEU | Prerequisites: JMX 901, JMX 902, JMX 903 and JMX 904
This course covers the needs and desires that explain why people share content with friends and co-workers, including preparation that must be done prior to launch that enables viral transmission.
