Aerosol Transmissible Disease Exposure Control Plan

An aerosol transmissible disease (ATD) is a disease or pathogen that can be spread through inhalation of infectious particles or droplets in the air. It can also be transmitted via direct contact with mucous membranes in the respiratory tract or eyes. This plan outlines the procedures needed to minimize the risk of illness from aerosol transmissible diseases.

Environmental Health and Safety oversees the management of this program. Applicable portions are overseen by the Student Health Center. Revisions and updates are implemented by the respective departments.

Annual Program Review

The Aerosol Transmissible Disease Exposure Control Plan is reviewed annually. If no updates are made, the entry for that year will be noted as 'reviewed'. Changes to the plan are listed below. If the program undergoes significant restructuring or revision, the new policy will be identified along with the justification for the change.

In accordance with the CSU Record Retention and Disposition policy, four years of revisions are posted to the EHS webpage. See the CSU Record Retention and Disposition page for more information.
