Several CSUDH occupations require protective work shoes in order to do the job safely. These include custodial staff, groundskeepers, trades, and warehouse employees. Some areas of campus, such as the refuse and recycling area, are restricted to authorized employees wearing appropriate footwear.
The work shoe policy outlines which jobs require specific levels of protection for their feet. CSUDH has adopted the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) for footwear.
