Application Checklist

1. Apply to CSUDH
  • Fall 2023: Apply from October 1, 2022 through May 1, 2023 on Cal State Apply. Please note that the undergraduate international deadline is May 1, and we do not make decisions based on self-reported information for international applicants.  
  • Spring 2024: Apply from August 1, 2023 through November 1, 2023 on Cal State Apply. Please note that the undergraduate international deadline is November 29, and we do not make decisions based on self-reported information for international applicants.   
2. Pay Application Fee

A $70 non-refundable application filing fee must be paid at the time of application submission. Instructions for payment can be found on Cal State Apply.

3. Check Application Status

The Office of Admissions will communicate your next steps in the admission process via email. Email is the official method of communication for California State University, Dominguez Hills.

5. Send Your Financial Support Affidavit

Complete your Affidavit of Financial Support [PDF] indicating you have enough funds to cover your first year of full-time study. Learn more about financial certification.

Note: This affidavit must be completed before student can be issued the Form I-20.

6. Submit Transcripts

Submit your official transcripts (academic records) for all previously attended institutions, whether coursework was completed or not by June 1. Include transcripts for ESL coursework. Transcripts from institutions outside the US should only be submitted as paper documents in an envelope stamped and sealed by the appropriate campus authorities. Electronic transcripts from these institutions are not accepted as official. Learn more about submitting foreign transcripts.

7. Send Course Description/Syllabi

Students seeking to transfer post-secondary courses to CSUDH to fulfill any degree requirement must submit official course descriptions/syllabi in English. Learn more about submitting course descriptions.

8. Send Forms

F-1 visa international students transferring from a college or university in the U.S. and applying from within the U.S. must submit copies of the following:

  • F-1 visa stamp
  • I-94 copy
  • Current form I-20
