Admission Process

  1. Review Admissions Criteria for Transfer Students ►

  2. Apply via Cal State Apply ►

  3. Submit one (1) official transcript from each college and/or university attended
    Transcript(s) should be sent electronically from the issuing institution to our Office of Admissions and Records to admissions@csudh.edu, or to send by mail, please use:

  4. After an application has been successfully submitted, notifications from the CSUDH Office of Admissions & Records will be sent with instructions for 1) logging in to the MyCSUDH portal and 2) learning how to track your application status.

Additional Instructions

Notes Regarding State Eligibility:
The Organizational Leadership program no longer accepts students residing in the following US States:
Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Kansas, Kentucky, Minnesota, Oregon, and Wyoming.

Notes Regarding Transcripts:
If you are applying and have used other names on your transcripts, be sure to include current and former legal names on your application. Transcripts that have been faxed, accidentally opened, or are unofficial/student copies are NOT acceptable. Individual transcripts from ALL schools are required.

 

Admission – Upper Division Transfer

For complete information on undergraduate admissions and bachelor’s degree requirements, refer to the University Catalog online: https://csudh.edu/university-catalog/

Generally, an applicant for the Organizational Leadership degree will qualify for admission as an upper division transfer student if he or she has:

  1. Have completed 60 transferable semester units (90 quarter units)
  2. Have completed at least 30 semester (45 quarter) units of general education courses, graded C- or better in each course including:
    • 1 course of 3 semester (4 quarter) units in written communication,
    • 1 course of 3 semester (4 quarter) units in oral communication,
    • 1 course of 3 semester (4 quarter) units in critical thinking, AND
    • 1 course of 3 semester (4 quarter) units in mathematics/quantitative reasoning. The mathematics course must be above the level of intermediate algebra. Go to www.ASSIST.org for listings of CCC courses that meet the general education requirements.
  3. Have a grade point average of 2.00 or better in all transferable college units attempted; and
  4. Are in good standing at the last college or university attended (i.e. eligible to re–enroll at that college or university).

A maximum of 70 units can be accepted from a community college.
