Power operated equipment can be hazardous. Blades, guarding, nip points, electrical are just a few of the hazards that operators may encounter. A Job Safety Analysis (JSAs) for commonly used power tools list training prerequisites, PPE requirements, and a step-by-step list of the hazards present while operating.
Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) has created a JSA template that can be used within your own department for the equipment that you use. EHS is available to assist you with development and editorial review.
