Writing Retreat Winter Break

Collaboration with Research and Sponsored Programs. This is a non-facilitated, self-directed writing retreat where you are given the gift of two days of uninterrupted time and community of peers. Each day will start with a 1-minute introduction from all participants joining regarding their intention for the two-day retreat.

PEP Institute Part I: Teaching First-Generation College Students (January 28 - February 25, 2022)

In Part I of the FDC Practicing Equitable Pedagogy Institute, learn about effective ways to engage first-generation college students through an equitable, inclusive, and asset-based approach in online and in-person class settings.

Writing Your Journal Article in 12 Weeks Group (January 31 - May 2, 2022)

The FDC will host 15 faculty in a Writing Your Journal Article (WYJAi12W) in 12 Weeks Group in Spring 2021, WYJAi12W, by Wendy Belcher, provides a week-by-week strategy and plan where readers learn a particular feature of strong articles and work on revising theirs accordingly. At the end of twelve weeks, faculty in the group potentially have an article to submit to a journal.

FDC RSCA Proposal Peer Feedback Session

Bring your RSCA proposal and receive peer feedback on your proposal from colleagues across disciplines. This session will be especially helpful for receiving feedback on the following RSCA Proposal criteria: "the project [is] written in such a fashion that it can be clearly understood by academics outside of the applicant's discipline". Please review the proposal evaluation criteria on pages 5 & 6 in the RSCA application guidelines (attached here) before attending this session. Please note that peers attending this session are not a part of RSCA review committee members.
